Hive: a second world, “High Meadows”, and new names
A big update for the mode. It has a new name, “Hive”, the bees and residents have new names, and a second world has opened beyond the Pass. Here's what changed and how to get there.
“Swarm” is now called “Hive”
The mode has a new name. The window where your monsters live is now called “Honeycomb”, and zone Clutches have become Eggs: for example, “Windy Peak Egg”. Your honey, your swarm and everything you've saved are still in place; only the names have changed.
Bees and residents got new names, shorter and bolder. Toiler is now Grinder, Blazehog became Blaze, Plodder became Tank, and Grandpa Timofey is now just Gramps. We also redrew many of the bees along the way. Below are all 51: on the left, what a bee used to be, on the right, what it has become.

The Pass: the road to the second world
On the southern shore of the Pearl Skerries stands an unlit arch. It lights up as a portal once you've reached the limit of the first world: all 35 slots in your swarm are filled, your swarm power is at least 17,000, you're wearing the top gear, and Gramps's tasks are done to the very end. The window by the arch shows what's already done and how much is left.
Then the Pass Guardian comes out by the arch. It has 230,000 health, you get 3 minutes for the fight, and you fight alone. Watch your feet: a red circle shows where it will strike, and in the third phase there are three circles. Win and you get the “Pass Kit” with honey, a Crystal egg and Royal jelly, and the way opens. Your honey, swarm and items go with you; nothing is lost.
High Meadows

The second world is five lands around the Rest Stop: Clover Slopes, Pine Ridge, Misty Saddle, Glacier Terraces and Starcrest. Each next land is unlocked by swarm power, from 17,000 to 2.2 million, and by a chain of tasks from the resident of the previous land. The meadows have 14 fields with flowers that the first world didn't have.
There's a lot of honey here, so it's handy to count it in “M”: 1 M is a million honey. Swarm slots 36 through 50 are sold only here.

All eggs in the second world hatch monsters that are already golden. Ten identical golden ones merge into a rainbow one: it's three times stronger and shimmers in every color. The meadows have 20 bees of their own, four per land, and they level up all the way to level 100: feed them your spare monsters.

Meadow bosses and the Eagle King
Each land has its own boss: Honeyrobber, Stomper, Mistmoose, Tusker and Crookhorn. Click the lair, press “Summon”, and you have 3 minutes for the fight. To summon one you need a seal: you get 3 a day, and a seal is only spent on a win. You can bring up to three friends, and everyone who dealt at least 5% of the damage gets loot.
The chapter's main boss is the Eagle King, a mountain eagle with a crown of golden feathers. He waits at the Crown Arena, and you summon him with a Crown Key made from the trophies of all five lands. It's best to take him on as a group of four. The Tumbler also roams the meadows: it comes when all the players together fill a shared bar with pollen.

Expeditions, weather and the trial
- Expeditions. Ustinya the Guide sends up to three of your monsters on a trip lasting from 4 to 24 hours. They bring back loot even while you're not in the game.
- Weather. Over the meadows you can get a honey drizzle, dusk that sometimes flares up into the Meadow Glow (×3 pollen on all fields), and a rare moon dew. The forecast is shown 2 hours ahead.
- Meadow Trial. A five-minute run through glowing circles: here skill matters, not swarm power. The ticket is free once every 2 hours.
- Swarm gifts. A gifted monster gives everyone on the field +5% pollen, and several monsters of the same color give a bonus to pollen of that color.
Portals, turbines and a swarm in one click

- Portals. From the Rest Stop, a portal with a picture sign leads to each land and to the arena. A locked land won't let you in and will tell you what's missing.
- Turbines. Fall into the water and a turbine column catches you and carries you to the shore. The exit ladders are gone, in both worlds.
- A swarm of the best. Buttons above the Honeycomb build a swarm out of your strongest monsters or your best gatherers in one click.
- First world. Your swarm now has up to 35 slots, and the slots from 36 on are beyond the Pass. Rainbow monsters also live only in the second world.
- Sky Shop. In the second world, Sky eggs are sold for platinum: they always hatch a golden monster, and sometimes a rainbow one. You can get all of this for free too, it just takes longer.
