Project Rules
The User Agreement and the rules of conduct on the MYPEX game servers.
1. General provisions
MYPEX is a free voxel online game available in a browser on the website mypex.net and in the game client play.mypex.net, including the in-game voice chat and the Telegram bot @mypexbot.
These Rules are a user agreement between the Project Administration and the Player. They set out the terms of access to the game, the rules of conduct and the consequences of violations.
By registering an account, entering the game or using the website, you confirm that you have read these Rules, understood them and agree to comply with them. If you disagree with even one clause, do not use the Project.
The procedure for voluntary support of the Project is described in the Donation Terms, and the procedure for processing data in the Privacy Policy. These documents are an integral part of the agreement.
2. Terms
- Project — the MYPEX game, its game servers, the mypex.net website, the game client, the voice chat and the Telegram bot.
- Administration — the owners of the Project and the persons appointed by them (moderators, helpers, developers).
- Player — an individual using the Project, whether or not they have an account.
- Account — the Player's user record: a nickname, a password and, if present, a linked Telegram.
- Perk — a set of additional in-game features granted to an account.
- Donation — a voluntary contribution to the development of the project, in return for which in-game bonuses are automatically credited to the account.
- Season — a period of play at the end of which the game world may be updated or reset.
3. Account
3.1. An account is created on the first sign-in to the game or to the website. A nickname must consist of Latin letters, digits and the underscore, and be from 3 to 16 characters long.
3.2. Nicknames and clan names are prohibited if they contain insults, obscene language, discriminatory, extremist or pornographic references, or if they mislead others about belonging to the Administration (for example, "Admin", "Moderator", "Support").
3.3. The Player is solely responsible for the safety of the password and of access to the linked Telegram. All actions performed under an account are deemed to be actions of its owner.
3.4. If you suspect that someone else has gained access to your account, revoke the saved sign-ins in the "Security" section of your profile and change your password.
3.5. One player may use several accounts, provided this does not serve to evade a ban, to farm rewards or to deceive other players.
3.6. An account is not the Player's property: it may not be sold, given away, leased or exchanged. The Administration may void transactions involving accounts and ban the accounts that took part in them.
4. Rules of conduct
4.1. Fair play
The following is prohibited:
- using cheats, cheat clients, macros, scripts and any programs that give an advantage (X-ray, aimbot, autoclicker, fly, speed and the like);
- exploiting game bugs and dupes instead of reporting them through the "Bug or idea" form in the profile;
- botting and automating farming, including AFK farms that bypass the presence check;
- deliberately creating lag or overloading the server (for example, by flooding it with packets or requests);
- any attempts to hack, guess passwords, or interfere with the operation of the website, servers, payment system and voice chat, as well as DoS/DDoS attacks.
4.2. Communication
In the game chat, the voice chat, comments and requests, the following is prohibited:
- insults, harassment, threats, incitement of hatred on the grounds of nationality, religion, sex or any other characteristic;
- obscene language directed at participants, as well as evading filters;
- 18+ material, scenes of violence, promotion of drugs, suicide and unlawful acts;
- advertising third-party projects, servers, websites, channels and goods without the Administration's approval;
- spam, flooding, all-caps text, begging;
- disclosing other people's personal data without their consent;
- impersonating the Administration, as well as making false statements on its behalf;
- deception and fraud, including failing to fulfil in-game deals.
The voice chat is treated the same as the ordinary chat: the same restrictions apply there. Deliberately broadcasting extraneous sounds in order to disrupt play (sound flooding) is prohibited.
4.3. The game world
The rules of the game world depend on the mode.
Survival, “Swarm” and all other modes except Anarchy. The following is prohibited:
- griefing — destroying and damaging other players' builds, stealing from other people's storage;
- bypassing claim systems and territory protection;
- traps that lead to a player's death or loss of items with no possibility of avoiding them;
- building over the spawn, common areas and the approaches to them;
- blocking other people's passages and respawn points.
Anarchy. There are no game-world rules here — the game itself decides what is possible:
- you may break and raid other players' builds and storage, blow them up with TNT and set any traps;
- you may fight other players wherever the game allows combat, which is almost everywhere except the spawn and other safe zones;
- a claim protects an area exactly as far as the game does: other players cannot build or break inside it, but it does not stop explosions;
- the spawn is protected: you cannot build or break anything there, except in the mines made for that purpose;
- the rules on fair play, communication and real-money deals (sections 4.1, 4.2 and 4.4) apply in Anarchy too: bypassing the protection of the spawn or of claims with game bugs or cheats is prohibited.
4.4. Real money
Selling, buying and exchanging accounts, perks, in-game currency and items for real money outside the official pages of the project is prohibited. Such deals are not protected, are not restored, and are grounds for banning all accounts involved.
4.5. Administration
Players who are members of the Administration are subject to the same rules. Abuse of powers, handing out items and perks to "friends", and biased bans are unacceptable — report such cases to support.
5. Player materials
5.1. The Project allows you to submit links to videos, applications to the team, bug reports and ideas. By submitting material, the Player confirms that it was created by them or that they have the right to use it.
5.2. By submitting a video for publication, the Player grants the Administration the right to post it free of charge on the website and in the project's communities, with credit to the author. The permission can be withdrawn by writing to support.
5.3. Materials are moderated. The Administration may reject or take down material without giving reasons, in particular if clause 4.2 is violated.
5.4. The game world, builds and saved progress are not the Player's property and may be changed or reset at a change of season or during maintenance.
6. Penalties
6.1. For violating the Rules the Administration may apply: a warning, a mute (a ban on typing and speaking), a kick, a rollback of builds, confiscation of unlawfully obtained items and currency, and a temporary or permanent ban of the account.
6.2. The Administration chooses the penalty taking into account the gravity and repetition of the violation. Ignorance of the Rules does not exempt from liability.
6.3. A ban may extend to all of the offender's accounts.
A ban for violating the Rules is not grounds for a refund of previously made donations and does not cancel the bonuses credited for them.
6.4. Accounts are banned permanently and without the possibility of lifting the ban, including a paid one, for: using cheats after a previously imposed penalty, hacking and attempts to hack, fraud involving real money, distribution of content prohibited by law, and threats to life and health.
7. Appeals and unbans
7.1. If you believe a ban was a mistake, write to support (see section 12), stating your nickname, the approximate time of the ban and the circumstances. The review period is up to 7 days.
7.2. A mistaken ban is lifted free of charge, and a donation made to lift such a ban is refunded.
7.3. Lifting a ban is not sold on the website. A mistaken ban is lifted through an appeal (clause 7.1).
8. Supporting the project
8.1. The game is free and remains free. A donation is a voluntary contribution to the development of the project; the platinum credited for it provides additional features, but not an advantage that breaks the balance.
8.2. Perks are permanent and are cumulative by seniority: a higher perk includes the features of the lower ones. The procedure for donating, crediting bonuses and refunds is described in the Donation Terms.
8.3. The set of features of a perk may change as the game develops. The Administration strives not to reduce the value of previously obtained perks.
8.4. In-game currency and items have no monetary equivalent and may not be exchanged for real money.
9. Liability
9.1. The Project is provided "as is". The Administration does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the servers and the website, the absence of errors or the preservation of game progress.
9.2. The Administration is not responsible for the loss of in-game valuables resulting from the Player's own actions, from giving access to third parties, or from equipment or connection failures on the Player's side.
9.3. Scheduled and emergency maintenance, updates and a change of season may make the game unavailable and reset the game world. The Administration announces scheduled work in advance on Telegram and in the news on the website.
9.4. The Administration is not responsible for the content of third-party websites linked from mypex.net.
10. Age
10.1. The Project is intended for people aged 13 and over. If your country sets a higher minimum age for using online services, that age applies.
10.2. Persons under 18 may make donations only with the knowledge and consent of their parents or other legal representatives.
10.3. If a donation was made by a minor without such consent, the legal representative may contact support — the request will be considered in the manner described in section 6 of the Donation Terms.
11. Changes to the rules
11.1. The Administration may amend these Rules. The current version is always posted on this page, and the date of the version is given at its top.
11.2. Significant changes are announced in the news on the website and on Telegram at least 3 days before they take effect.
11.3. Continuing to use the Project after the changes take effect means agreement with the new version.
