Friends, weddings and a “Report a bug” button

On October 18 the game became more about people: you can see who's online, teleport to a friend, hold a wedding in the church, and send us a bug right from the pause menu. In the evening everything done over these days went to the server.

To a friend — with one tap

The friends window already showed where a friend is: in your world, in another mode or offline. Now a friend's card has “Teleport to friend”. You can only teleport to someone who has also added you as a friend, not out of a fight and not into another mode. And everyone has an “Allow friends to teleport to me” toggle — if you don't want guests, just switch it off.

Who's in the game right now

The request was simple: “the Escape menu should somehow show how many players are playing on the server, which ones, their nicknames.” Now the pause menu has an “Online” button with a number next to it. It opens a window with tabs per mode, search by nickname and pages. Ordinary players don't see those who went hidden in the list.

A bug — right from the pause menu

The “Ideas and bugs” window had lived in the Anarchy menu since October 10. But the main inconvenience surfaced: “there's no way in our menu to report a bug.” Now the pause menu in every world has two buttons — “Report a bug” and “Suggest an idea”. You can attach tech data to a bug report: the game build, frame rate, screen size and the last lines of the game log — without nicknames, addresses or passwords. We still reward accepted ideas and found bugs with platinum.

A church wedding

The Keeper of Vows now stands in the Survival church. The one proposing stands on the blue carpet, their beloved on the pink one, and in the “Ceremony” window the first one invites the second. There are two minutes to answer. Funny, but until this day the ceremony in this church never went through at all: the right carpets stood beyond the edge of the map.

Compass, spyglass and buckets

“The compass and spyglass don't work. And they have no models.” The compass simply had nowhere to point: the game didn't know where the world spawn was. Now the needle points to the world's spawn point, springs softly on turns and trembles right at the target, and the “Recovery compass” leads to the place of your last death. The compass has a brass case with a needle, the spyglass an eyepiece, a leather wrap and a lens. Right-clicking with the spyglass in hand zooms in on the picture in a round frame.

“The buckets aren't pretty either and they have no models in hand.” Twelve bucket icons were redrawn — the milk bucket used to be a white blob. In hand the bucket is now three-dimensional, the water in it sloshes in time with your steps, and when you scoop or pour, the bucket tilts.

Grass in tufts

Tall grass stood as three flat “curtains”, and rows of plants read as cardboard panels. Now it's a tuft of narrow blades, each with its own tilt and bend, a dark root and a light tip. Ferns, lilacs and peonies were redone the same way.

And also

In the game. Since the October 18–21 updates. Weddings live in Survival, which is waiting its turn for now: since October 25, players land straight in Anarchy when they join.
