New armor, new icons and a refreshed pause menu
On the morning of October 16 the first big update since Anarchy launched went out to players. And in the afternoon we took on what a player sees every second: the armor they wear, the icons in their pockets, the pause menu — and the sound.
Two weeks in one update
Since October 2 the server had been running the Anarchy launch version. On the morning of the 16th a new one replaced it, bringing everything the two previous notes talk about: fifteen languages, twenty-four creatures of our own, a minimap with waypoints, raids on the wild world, bidding auctions, account deletion, a game without blood, new monster bodies and six Anarchy enemies with a new look.
Armor you can see
Leather, chainmail, iron and gold armor had no artwork of their own on the player model: a worn set looked like a box painted one color. Now each has its own details. Leather has stitching and buckles, chainmail has rings. Iron was drawn from scratch: a crest on the helmet, pauldrons and a tasset. A new round shield came along too.

Six hundred twenty-nine icons
We went through 629 item icons in a row and picked the weakest — the ones that turned into a gray blob in your pockets. Forty-two of them were redrawn. And sixty-seven more items got an icon for the first time: before that they had none at all.
A pause menu in the new style
The pause menu moved to the same “glass” style as the server windows, and it looks the same on computers and phones. Under the pause menu you no longer see the hotbar or your hand — only the world. The mode selection window was redone too: the cards got our own texts and mode pictures.

Silence for a while
And one decision without a picture. We're not happy with the game's sound yet, so we switched it off — for a while, by default. Nothing was deleted: the “Game sounds” line in the settings brings it back with one tap. Voice chat isn't affected — it works as before.
